Composing (Lyrics)

There are billions of ways to compose songs, but the ways I use the most, the ones that come from my heart, I know it sounds kind of stupid, but really, if you make songs for someone the lyrics can be really good.

Lyrics are mostly what you feel if you do a song dedicated for someone but let's take for example songs for heavy metal or hard rock. If I take AC/DC as an example: their songs are really good, they're mostly about rock n' roll because it's something they love to do; rock n roll.

But if I take for example Heavy Metal bands, their lyrics are about anything: demons, hate, war, death, (not only bad things but also good stuff) or random stuff. I am not an expert in writing Metal lyrics but I do like heavy metal a lot.

There is something really important about lyrics; originality. If you copy another band's lyric, not only you'd be in serious trouble but also that you'd be ruining your reputation. If you are original, you have your lyrics, the first thing I recommend to you to:
- First check if you like it
- Check with someone else or your band
- Check how it may fit into the riff/song
- Check in what note you're going to play

Dreams and Goals

One of the most important things about learning how to play a guitar are the goals a guitarrist have, for example: if you want to be a famous guitarrist in a band and be recognized by millions of people, you do have to work hard, being social with others and know how to work with others because if you don't know how to work with others it is hard to actually play in a band.

But there are also other ways of enjoying the guitar, also it is a hobby. You can just play guitar for fun, or compose songs for birthdays, feelings, dedications, etc. (I will do a post about composing songs) It's not only about earning money doing concerts with your band, (although you can also teach guitar to others and earn money that way) but you can have friends to play with.

Different Genres

I like Metal, Rock and Blues, I'm pretty sure most of the people reading this blog do too, but there are other styles of music, for example for those who like a lot the guitarrists that shred a lot, I'm pretty sure they like Metallica, Megadeth, etc. But there are also other genres not so hard but really fast playing; flamingo/flamenco. I'm going to post a video of Robert Trujillo playing flamenco/flamingo in a video down here in this page so you can appreciate it is true.
This Post had as objective to teach you that every genres of music has it's way of playing. For example for those who don't like rock or metal, they miss the tapping technique, or the vibrato.
